A mixed team of students from the Department of Foreign Languages and the Department of Control and Instrumentation spent an inspiring week at our partner university in Lappeenranta, Finland, where they took part in a hybrid course (Blended Intensive Program) Developing Global Citizenship through Interculturality and Sustainability. The program included participation in online lectures, the development of a team project in the field of sustainable development, and a subsequent intensive on-campus week in Lappeenranta packed with lectures, teamwork, and project presentations. Not only did the students gain useful knowledge and practical skills, but they also had an opportunity to discover a little bit of Finland and its culture, and to form new friendships with fellow participants from the EULiST university alliance.
